Dr. M. Jeanne Dolphus Cotton is the National Facilitator for Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) for Strengthening Marriages and Families, a component of the National Alliance of Faith & Justice. The National Alliance of Faith & Justice promotes a culturally competent strategy for fostering healthy marriages and responsible fatherhood, improving child well-being and strengthening families within the African American Community for nationwide replication and demonstration. Cultural orientation, traditions and practices form a diversity of beliefs, attitudes, interpersonal styles and behaviors. The program develops strategies and activities to rejuvenate the family by fostering healthy marriages; promoting responsible motherhood and fatherhood; and position children and family as the center of our culture. Curriculum Six major areas of focus are broken down into the following: The Individual “You,” the Relationship, Marriages, Family Dynamics, Parenting, Manhood/Fatherhood.
